As of Feb 2026, we stopped reselling Google Workspace because Google was restricting access to us small resellers, and always constantly and increasing their charges to us. We struggled since Google forced changes in 2024... eventually becoming un-affordable, impractical and finiancially risky to continue as a reseller.
Google's increasing lack of care for it's founding IT community is alarming. Google has become a corporate giant, using low skilled foriegn call centres, and disconnected itself with small local IT professionals.
But there is still a way to provide support to your clients, without them having to pay for your licence, via Google Cloud Identity Free. But you'll need to create a support account for each domain.
Steps to create a Google Workspace account for new clients...
Step1: Create a Workspace Account as the client.
Step2: Subscribe to Google Cloud Identity Free. Do via admin console Billing > subscriptions. (Note you cannot subscribe to Google Coud Identity as an old Reseller... you need to subscirbe as a client).
Step3: Change the Workspace Subscription Licence > automatic licence to OFF
Step4: Add a new (free) support user
Step5: Assign Super Admin role to the support user.
