Things to try:

Try 1:

  • Start the pc using F11 to boot into recovery mode.
  • Select Advanced and then Command prompt.
  • Run

chkdsk c: /r /x

  • If chkdsk only scans, run sfc /scannow and reboot.

Try 2:

  • Boot into Windows Recovery Environment using the Windows 10 USB or DVD. 
  • Click on Repair your computer.
  • Click on Troubleshoot and in the Advanced options
  • Select Command Prompt.
  • Type the following commands into the prompt and press Enter key after each command.

bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd

Try 3: Perform a Start up repair

  • Download an ISO image of Windows 10 and try to install again using the Media Creation tool. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
  • Insert the installation DVD or USB and boot Windows 10 from it.
  • Select “Troubleshooting” from the first Window and then select “Advance Options”.
  • Then select “Automatic Repair” from “Advanced options” window.
